A couple hours after fermentation starts, you'll notice that your wine/ cider/ mead looks quite cloudy. You'll notice that there's a particularly large layer of cloudiness at the bottom of your container!
This is totally normal: during fermentation, the yeast reproduce as they convert sugar to alcohol. Because they reproduce, there’s going to be a lot more of them at the end than there were at the beginning! Gravity makes the yeast fall to the bottom.
